So we realistically see their journey- especially during HI/PD…and it leads to tragedy. While it’s not exactly the same as stated, they do both have the same fate, on the same day, on purpose.

I really hope to be able to go to cons and give talks on this stuff in the future! I have actually found this to be really fascinating, even outside of my StSg obsession.

Ted Talk- I lost my mind and decided to hold theoretical conversations in Japanese with Gemini, posing as high school guy who has a “親友” (shinyu) and asking why he might say that and what it means blah blah. It asked how close was close, talked about physical contact, how he treats me vs others etc etc

Google is giving me relationship advice xD But what it got to was a point I was already looking at- how they act alone vs with others. It reinforces the idea of the silent, extremely private boundary that Gege established between them and the reader. It’s purposeful. We’re getting into deeper things and I’m using my already existing cultural experiences, including dating experiences. I’m mostly just amused at this point. Also, this would make a hilarious au fic.

I wish I had someone to yell at about all this lmao xD

Ok I’m working more on the thesis and in my research I just hit this:

But furthermore-

“One aspect of samurai honor was the vendetta, a formally sanctioned procedure that allowed a samurai to avenge the unjust death of a superior…”

“The vendetta involved several prescribed stages: locating the mane responsible…announcing the name of the avenger and the act to be avenged; a duel to the death; and…presentation of the man’s head…”

I can take this a few ways.

1: Suguru stops Satoru from avenging Riko, keeping him from sullying his honor.

2: Suguru sullies his own then KFC break-up and events of JJK 0. (Though only at the time)

3: The most important fights were always given a date. Christmas and Halloween.

If we take it that Suguru is considered to have died in an unjust manner, especially in Kenny taking over his body, then the line of vengeance becomes clearer. Satoru is sealed. When he is unsealed, his first thing is to set the date for the fight. >!HE KNOWS HE IS GOING TO DIE.!< (See point about dying for love). Instead of Satoru killing Kenny, Yuta is given this task- or he takes it out of honor and love (though not the type of love mentioned here)- to avenge Suguru and allow Satoru to do what he needs to do to restore his honor. You can take the face value of >!Kenny’s decap!< as being what was necessary to separate the brain but it can be interpreted in the sense above. Yuta does this and restores both Suguru and Satoru’s honor.

Satoru says he had fallen behind and should’ve done what he did after being unsealed years ago. He never should have left him behind and now it falls on him to restore Suguru’s honor and his own.

Gege cooked.

OH EVEN WORSE- It was not uncommon for men to seek out monkhood to separate themselves from yearning both physically and emotionally. BITCH GEGE FUCK YOU! YOU KNEW WHAT YOU WERE DOING.

The package arrived! Look at them!!!! I have unboxing videos and a video of the umbrella but I’ll deal with posting that later.

The plush are REALLY SOFT. The stupid sock bean ones are memory foam! They each have zippers so you can clean them easily! The plushes with toe beans have removable clothing, so they can have different outfits!!!

The mug isn’t in the picture but it didn’t break in transit and that’s awesome!!

The rings both came with string to tie them onto. They make me happy 😭

Also my tattoo is done. Will also make a different post for that.
