Simple project with some white oak offcuts. The roundovers on the base were a last minute addition with a smoothing plane, top is tapered at the ends to accommodate the neck duster. Finished with some linseed oil. Everything was done using handtools.

Always a fantastic shave with this stuff, smells great, lathers great, and something about old Sheffield steel just feels right.

Wasn't sure I was going to like this soap based on the potency of the tub smell that I can only describe as sweet and maybe a hint of melon, but it actually mellowed into a more complex scent that was orders of magnitude milder. Performance wise it was excellent, would consider investing in a puck at some point.

A fantastic way to end the day. It unfortunately ended with the tile and razor becoming acquainted, so it's to the stones.

Decided to use only products available at your nearest drugstore (excluding the brush I'm not using that Wilkinson brush), the Russian King C. Gillette blades were honestly awful in my opinion but the Wilkinson I snagged from my wife performed well enough and seemed to make it slightly more efficient YMMV. The Proraso is reliable and the green is really refreshing, the Thayers and Nivea balm are great and soothing products. Rarely use the KCG but it's not a bad mild razor, the knurling is awful though.
