Purchase Used R56 - Thoughts?
Hey all, thinking of purchasing a 2012 6MT Hardtop Coupe S. $2,600. Comes with ~250,000 miles. Guy seems to have taken decent care of it, especially since he's gotten it to 250k. No clue about if/when timing chain has been done (I'm assuming it's been done at least once) and I will ask him.
Planning on checking the oil cap for white goo. I'll ask him to let me hear a cold start.
It runs/drives. He commutes to the city with it. He's selling due to moving abroad.
This would be our 5th vehicle, and would be used for fun/sporty driving only. No commuting, no family duties, etc. I'm a novice in the garage, but I'm open/willing to learn. Currently bringing a C4 Corvette back to life.
Thoughts?
Things to look for? Things to look for that would be a deal breaker?
