Are these German cockroaches or outdoor/amber wood cockroaches? Found in two different apartments in Germany
Hi everyone, I’m looking for help with identification because I’m really anxious about this.
We are in Germany. I found one cockroach-looking insect in my shared flat/WG, and my girlfriend found three in her apartment. We live in different towns, so these are not from the same building.
In my WG, I do not have trees directly in front of my room, only tram lines outside. In my girlfriend’s apartment, there are trees directly in front of the balcony, although she does have a net. Most of the ones in her apartment were found near the window/balcony area. One was found near a food shelf/rack, but the food there is packaged.
I’m trying to figure out if these look like German cockroaches or more like wood cockroaches that came in from outside.
Could anyone help identify them from the pictures? Should we be worried about an infestation?
