Hatchimals & Barbies & Doll Bed (oh my)

Hatchimals & Barbies & Doll Bed (oh my)

Hey friends, have a variety of things I'm looking to rehome to those that can give them the second lives they deserve! Feel free to holler if you want/need photos, but tried to link the general sets so you'd know what I'm talking about. They are primarily "girls" toys:

- Hatchimals (I have a zillion, can go in bulk or sets. So far I have determined we have 3 "Rainbow cation" sets - the camper with poodles (-1 puppy), the llamas (all), and the unicorns (-1 adult). Also a "Secret Scene" pop up egg and innumerable hatchimals & tiny accessories themselves.

- Doll bunk bed: From Pottery Barn, it's a slightly older style than what they sell now. Suitable for 18" dolls or stuffed animals. Comes with extra custom foam "mattresses" from an etsy seller, blankets (the pink things in the stock image), and one fancy sheet/pillow set thing from Etsy. Everything has been washed and ready to go.

- Barbies & "barbie" furniture: I have two sets, one is a Barbie with a bunch of career oufits (pilot, chef, etc - missing doctor stethoscope & both glasses, violin bow & sheet music, and the pilot neck kerchief), and another is a "farm" situation with chickens (missing egg crate). I also have a partial set of barbie-sized ikea furniture (couch, pillow, chair, coffee table only, and a different rug - it's from this set). Barbies are in pretty good condition, hair is a little messy but I'd give them an A- on overall condition!

Edited to cross out stuff that's been picked up.

Small Pet Stroller (& more)

I have a preloved pet stroller available, no stains, tears, or rips, just some use from wear and rust from our good ol' drizzle.

The pet I had it for finally lost his battle (but got plenty of fresh air on walks!) so I'm sharing this in the hope it can continue to be of use for others.

Also available:

- K&H small pet bed heaters (x2 - clean, no stains)

- Hills Feline K/D "Ocean Fish" 1 gal bag (opened/in ziploc but bought in may & stored airtight)

- EUC litter pans (x2 - I always used liners and have since sterilized these so they're basically brand new)

In downtown area but can meet in central tacoma.

See you at the bridge, small sir

After nearly 18 years together, I said goodbye to my lil buddy Roux last week.

He was diagnosed with Stage 4 CKD last fall and was initially given only weeks to live. Instead, and with some significant veterinary intervention due to his heart murmur, we got more time. It wasn't enough time, because as you all know well there never is... but more time. There was time for more snuggles, more snacks, more adventures, and more of the ordinary moments that still become so precious when you know they are limited.

I spent a fair amount of time thinking about what I wanted to say to this community, and mostly... I wanted to say thank you. This sub helped me learn how to care for him. You all helped me better understand fluids, medications, appetite support, lab work, and what to watch for, but more than any of that, it reminded me that none of us are doing this alone.

So I just want to remind everyone currently caring for a CKD cat: what you're doing matters. The research matters, the vet visits matter, the fluids matter. The special food, the medication, the constant worrying, and deciding you can go without so that you can make them a little more comfortable. It all matters.

Your fuzzy sidekick doesn't understand creatinine values or phosphorus levels or why their person is making them take meds they hate, but I know now more than ever that they understand that you're there. They understand comfort, and they understand love, and they know you are there to give them those things. I know this because the last thing he did was call to me, and I there I was.

Roux lived much longer than anyone expected, and I am endlessly grateful for every extra day. You (yes you on your phone in the middle of the night) need to know that whether your journey is measured in weeks, months, or god willing, years, the effort you're putting in is meaningful, and your cats are lucky to have you.

I miss my boy terribly, and I probably always will, but I also believe that love doesn't just disappear. Whether it's faith or hope, or maybe just the complete refusal to accept that a bond like that can simply end, I believe I'll see him again someday. Mostly because I can't imagine heaven being heaven if pets aren't allowed.

Until then, thank you for helping me care for my small orange sir.

Good luck everyone and hug your furbabies tight.
