Hi all! Found this poor little fellow on my walk today and immediately thought red fox, however the ears, tail and teeth are throwing me off and now I can’t shake the thought it may be a dog.

This was on my way into a nature reserve, but only a 20 minute walk from the town where I parked so a domestic dog is entirely within the realm of possibility.

I know foxes sometimes lose part of their tail, or it may have been carried off by a scavenger. I’m not sure if the ears would flop during decomposition, seems likely? What could be going on with the teeth? They look more dog than fox to me but maybe some sort of dental disease either way??

All the vertebrae and ribs were found in the same spot in the ditch, the two leg bones were found a little ways up the animal trail I followed to get to the ditch. My assumption is red deer as there are lots of them on the nature reserve, but with the proximity to farmland I’m not sure if cow could be an option? There aren’t lots of cows around the area but definitely a few.

This is driving me crazy😭 the gen 3 Appaloosa is one of my favourite breeds in the game, and newer than several horses listed under this saddle. Yet there are so many leg wraps that don’t work with them and now this saddle? Why?? :((
I just bought proteus who I’ve wanted for so long, and I can’t put the fishy saddle or brushing boots on him!! I don’t understand why this completely normal tack would be incompatible with the Appaloosa model.

Please help me figure this one out😭😭 no option to talk to James pops up, I’ve re-logged twice! Is anyone else having this issue?
