Answer to all "Moscow Metro is so beautiful" posts

I noticed that many people praise Russia for its architecture of metros but this is not the entire truth: Yes the metro in Moscow is beautiful (I was never there) but it represents the past (and current) mindset of Russian imperialism over their (former) influence areas.

The Soviet Union was one thing: forcing Russian "culture" onto its anaxed regions and pleasing the people of Moscow and Leningrad / St. Petersburg.

The Moscow Metro was built using labours from occupied territories and non-russian citizens. Built with stolen materials and cultural artifacts.

All other metro systems outside "great" Moscow are absolutely minimalistic, everything else than grad.

Have a watch of this amazing video.

Happy to hear from all the Russians that are going to complain 😉

Greetings from someone who has experienced Russian "culture" flying over my head and exploding near me.

When public transport gets buried under the road

In București, Romania I have seen this "amazing" tram stop (Piata Victoriei) under a huge intersection in the city. Absolutely creepy, dirty and not passenger friendly. Such a shame, becuase the city itself is nice and has some amazing places. But, as in many other former communist countries, public transport is pushed away by car infrastructures. Sad!
