Any advice for international masters students?

I'm moving to Bergen this august to study a masters at UiB.
This is my first time being an international student and moving countries. I'm really excited but also quite nervous!
I have a few questions about life as an international student in Bergen.
Are student societies welcoming to English speakers? I'm a keen mountain biker, skier and hiker, I love being in the outdoors and would like to join student societies for this!
Where are the best places to shop for basic essentials like pots and pans, food etc near Grønneviksøren Studentboliger?
How does the university Welcome Week work? Are there fairs for the student societies and that kind of thing?
How is the clubbing / music scene in Bergen? What kind of music is most popular and are the clubs any good??
I'd greatly appreciate any more advice anyone has!
