



Swiggy Instamart delayed my order 1.5 hours and offered only Rs. 24 refund
I never thought I’d make a Reddit post about a delivery app experience, but this was honestly frustrating enough to share.
A few days ago, I ordered some cold items from Swiggy Instamart, including:
Ice cream
Juices
Cold water bottles
The order initially looked normal, but after some time it got stuck on “Order Packed” for around 1.5 hours. There was no movement in delivery.
I contacted support multiple times, and the support team told me there were no delivery partners available near my location. At one point, the delivery partner himself told me he was going home.
By the time the order finally arrived:
The ice cream was completely melted
The juices were no longer cold
Even the cold water bottles had lost their chill
Basically, the entire purpose of ordering cold items was ruined because of the delay.
I raised a complaint immediately and shared image proof. Then started the real frustration:
Waited 6 days
Sent 3+ follow-ups
Kept receiving generic apology messages
Finally, after all that waiting, the “resolution” they offered was a refund of just Rs. 24.
That honestly felt insulting more than helpful. This wasn’t just about the money. It was about the poor delivery handling, wasted products, delivery charges for a heavily delayed order, and extremely slow customer support.
What disappointed me most was how casually the issue was handled despite clear proof and repeated follow-ups.
Has anyone else faced similar experiences with Instamart or other quick commerce apps recently?
