SEO IT Manager Experiences

Anyone have any experience working as SEO IT Manager in any of the departments - interested to know what you’re day to day looks like?

Recently accepted the role and looking for some tips, especially as this is my first managers role. I’ve come from an IT background (8+ years as technical support, and often lead the team for the workplace I’m in currently).

I have been told it’s fast paced which I enjoy but just wondering if anyone has any experience to share.

Job offer advice

I applied for a IT managers job and was recently told I was successful, however I’d say the pay is low 45-49k. I currently work in IT support and on 44k, however there seems to be a lack of opportunities where I work and no room for development, unless someone leaves but again doesn’t mean I’d get promoted.

I’ve been turned down for multiple promotions where I work, so feel like I’m at a dead end. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy my job and could stay for another 3-5 years in that role.

My current job is wfh 4 days a week, but sometimes I require to be in the office 2 a week but that isn’t very often. It has nice perks, but office environment has turned toxic.

The new job would require 2 days a week. Both jobs (current and job offer) require 1hr40 mins of travelling.

I’m now stuck at what to do as both have pros and cons. The new job might have a better working environment of not being as toxic, the structure also differs a lot so I’m thinking there may be more room for progression. But I guess I’m worried about jumping ship as this would be my first management job, but also taking into account it requires slightly more travelling and the pay isn’t significantly more.

I’m an anxious guy so I like to settle where I am, rather than move jobs constantly. I’ve been at my job 7 years and my previous job 6 years.

I guess I’m looking for a fresh perspective.
