New house. Gunite/plaster pool. Grew up maintaining vinyl liner pool.

Are these plaster chips? (Photo in comments) Hardness levels seem fine so I don’t believe it’s scale. Previous owners had a pool guy come once a week but 95% sure he just kept chemicals in check, no cleaning. Not sure how they kept on top of cleaning but looked good when I moved in.

I believe they got this resurfaced about 2-3 years ago. Bad sign or typical if they didn’t keep it squeaky clean? Kept picking it up after 4-5 runs of the pentair prowler.

Need help deciding. Will be my first smoker purchase. Definitely want pellets given the convenience.

I keep reading how much better LSG is over yoder. Ive priced out both my LSG 42” vs YS640S setups and they are pretty much the same. Problem is i can get a yoder within a few weeks and start cooking this summer vs 3 months for the LSG. I dont mind saying screw it and waiting if the LSG is that much better.

Would like folks insight on their experience or what you’d decode to do
