Recently I was diagnosed with alpha-gal a tick born disease that causes an allergy to all red meat and byproducts I’m on vacation and it’s the worst trying to explain I cannot have any kind of red meat and or dairy products. I feel bad for my kids and husband as we’ve literally had to leave two restaurants as there’s cross contamination and no way to have anything. I feel so defeated. I was diagnosed a week before vacation and I’m just sad. I want to eat and enjoy food with them and not have to leave a restaurant. They’re more than understanding but I feel like I’m taking them away from joy.
