Applying for a job after not resigning in good standing
A little over a year ago I quit my state job without giving a two week notice, which was required to resign in good standing. I took some time off, started grad school, and am making a career change. I don't know if it matters, but I was a non-represented employee that hadn't yet cleared the probationary period.
Am I pretty much SOL for applying to a new state job if I didn't leave my previous job in good standing? I'm assuming this would come up when a hiring manager does an employment check.
