Just had to show the drizzle of the Axolotl Cloud slime following Slime Obsidian’s recipe. Full review is here.

For reference the recipe made enough slime to fill two standard 6oz slime jars to the top plus a little extra. The amount in the video is the full amount.

One year ago today K-Pop Demon Hunters started streaming on Netflix. What started as a cool kids movie quickly rose to become a hit sensation. Catchy songs, striking visuals, endearing characters and deep storylines all culminated in a cultural phenomenon.

Our slime passion paralleled the release and we soon came up with so many slime ideas inspired by the movie. Finally we are bringing these ideas to life. Eight slimes in a variety of textures will be available. First 10 orders will receive a heart ❤️ stress ball.

Demo slimes, the slimes that were filmed for the restock, will be available for $12-13. Slimes were mixed once with gloves on. They will come with the charms on the side.

I purchased the Slime Obsidian Axolotl Cloud recipe for $5.99 US.

For some backstory, cloud slime was one of the first textures we tried to make. For my daughter’s 10th birthday we were going to do a yellow banana scented cloud slime. I don’t remember the recipe but it just didn’t work. The slime was nice but it was not a cloud. The next year I tried RainbowPlayMakers cloud recipe for our Christmas slime drop and that recipe didn’t work either. I did a lot of troubleshooting with that one adding more wet snow, more dry snow, more lotion, letting it sit, all the things and I was still not happy with the results. I gave up on clouds for a while.

Seeing Obsidian’s recipe I thought I would give it a try. I just followed the recipe and I LOVE the cloud slime I made. First impressions are very good. Is it my ultimate cloud slime, no. I love Jade’s craft Shack dry clouds. This is a classic cloud, not to dry. Definitely not wet, I hate wet cloud and icee slimes. Does it have fallout, just a little bit. However, I just made it and that might change as the snow settles into the slime as it sits. As far as a cloud slime goes, my confidence has been restored.

Here are a few tips as I went through the recipe. (1) I slowly added the activator and while the slime was firming up, it was still sticking a bit to the sides of the bowl. I did not want to over activate it as I tend to do that when making slime so I stopped. It was sticky to deal with initially but I think that helped. (2) I didn’t add the scent or color suggested as I wanted to make a basic base to color and scent how I wanted. Keep in mind color and scent can change the makeup of any recipe. For example I made a slime with pigment powder and it came out perfectly. I used the same slime base and added acrylic paint for color and it got hard. (3) After I made the slime I split it in half to start adding the snow. My thought was I didn’t want to mess up and waste the snow. This is where you need to take your time adding the snow to get it where you want. I started adding the now to half of the slime base and got it to where I liked it and then kept working it to see if I could get all of the snow the recipe called for in. At that point it started to get too crumbly. I added more activator and that made it more firm instead of helping to hold in the snow. That’s when I was happy to have the other half of the slime to mix back in. I added in all of that and more snow and am really happy with the final texture. Just to clarify I followed the recipe but ended up adding a little less snow than what it called for to get the consistency I liked.

I highly recommend the recipe and encourage you to experiment with it to get the cloud slime you have always dreamed of.

Also for those of you looking to replicate SO’s Axolotl cloud slime I did not try the original slime so I cannot compare or have an opinion on if this recipe mirrors that slime. All I can say is that it is a very good beginner friendly recipe to start making fluffy, drizzly cloud slime.

Does anyone still have the bottle of Sweet Tea & Lemonade from 2024 (I think)? What are the scent notes on the back of the bottle?

My daughter grabbed this one during a sale and it ended up being one of our favorites. I heard it went viral on TikTok and was sold out when we went back to try to get more. The sweet tea & lemonade they released this year does NOT smell like this one. Was hoping to see the scent notes to maybe blend my own.
