this is my all time favourite poem by my all time favourite poet! I got my first tattoo because of it :)) (pic attached in the comments) — would love any of your thoughts.

this is, in my opinion, one of the more honest love poems to have ever been written.

in the original text, the word for "grew tall" sound like an archaic word for "was dying"

from his first book "now and on the other days", 1955. Dickey was his commander.
