Short Tights for Hot Humid Marathon

Gonna join my first marathon on October 4, can you guys pls recommend the coolest half tights that has enough pockets for marathon use? It’s always around 24 to 26 celsius here, 88 to 94% humidity. Races are usually midnight for marathons so sun is not an issue. Thanks

Coolest Half Tights and Shorts for 178cm Runner

It’s pretty hot and humid here in the Philippines whole year round. It’s either hot and humid but no rain or hot and humid with rain. So in your experience which half tights are coolest for this kind of climate? Also for shorts which ones look good? Split shorts look kind of off on me. Thanks

Puma Dne4 - Topo Specter Elite - Dynafish Xiaonian

Hi all, my current shoe lineup is attached on the photo and I’m looking for my first marathon shoe, aiming for a 4 to a 4:30 finish time, i have read and watched YouTube videos on the DNE4 and getting mixed reviews, some say it helps you roll along and some say you need to work and it does not have much assist.

I have been using the ap4 and it’s good but I’m looking at options as well, the AP5 might not make it in time since the marathon is on august 30, i will be buying the Dynafish for training though.

One problem i have with the ap4 is i am worried if i go beyond half marathon it might squish my toes too much plus it really doesn’t breath much and it’s pretty hot and humid here even at 3am it’s 24c with 90+% humidity.

I know some may say i don’t need a plated shoe for this pace, i have noticed that carbon plated shoes do help but they just help more at faster paces like when im doing intervals at 3 to 4:30mins/km and threshold. I can’t sustain those paces yet until i fix my back issues causing breathing problems.

So I’m sort of a beginner, started last year around January, got injured in February until October(posterior tibialis and spring ligament), started training for real in October, got a 26:26 5km(4th km i had acid reflux probably from being too excited) on December 27, haven’t tested my 5km all out since that time.

I’m still dealing with a breathing issue that has been bothering me, my upper back is tight and restricts breathing.

Anyway i have been doing a workout program i made with gemini, i will attach the pic. And I’m on the 5th week, but there’s a 6km race this sunday(may 3) that i want to join, so instead of the usual friday threshold, i will replace that with an easy run and make sunday the threshold.

Same for next week there’s a 10km race i want to test out.

So the question is, between the 3 race shoes i have, which would you pick for the race and why?

I’m planning to go at a 5 pace for the 6km.

5:45 starting pace and slowly pace up to a 55min time on the 10km.

I know pretty slow, but the back issue limits my performance.

Also for the vo2 max intervals i average 4:30 pace while the threshold stuff i average around 5:20 to 5:30.

Thanks
