Officially am 100% a carmax for lifer.
Currently 132k mileage van (bought from carmax march 2023 at 109k miles 2017 Sedona.)
I got maxcare originally. Never had to use it (though that first 30 days they did timing chain replacement, windshield washer everything replacement, window switch, my AC compressor for the front of van, some other various things) for free because <30 day purchase.
I am upcoming expiring maxcare march 2027.
I went to get brakes checked at a Mavis Tire and they told me brakes were ok but the control arms, shocks / struts etc all needed replaced. Like $4k in shit. Ouch.
Decided to take the plunge and risk a $92.50 diagnostic fee , took it to carmax service center from where I bought it.
They just called and confirmed they got all of it covered under maxcare plan AND a 4 day rental (i wasnt expecting cause I didnt realize that was offered)
They just saved me so much money I am crying in happiness because I had no idea how we were gonna function without that money but the vehicle is a lifeline for my family of 7.
This is my "lottery ticket winnings". This is why I never win the lottery. I have never expected to get this lucky and I am just grateful asf and felt others should hear it.
