Just rage quit Prime 4 when I found out I had to collect more green crystals.

I started playing this game about 2 months ago at this point. I’ve been dragging my feet because it just doesn’t entice me to want to keep playing. Don’t get me wrong, it isn’t a horrible game. It’s just boring, linear and mindless.

That said, I was going to finish the game until I came to the green crystal quest. I had heard in reviews about this quest so I made sure to go out of my way to smash as many green crystals as possible throughout my playtime. However, when I went to the alter after beating the mines area, I only had enough crystals to fill a quarter of the required amount.

I don’t get it. Is it because I never deposited them the whole time and maybe there’s a limit of how many you can hold at once? Also, nowhere that I’m aware of tells you how many you have or how many you need. It’s super ambiguous. I’m not opposed to a late game fetch quest (I didn’t mind Wind Waker’s), but this just feels like throwing on a pointless task to pad the total game time.

Overall, I enjoyed moments of this game but it just didn’t feel like a Metroid prime game. I don’t even think I’d consider it a metroidvania in general. It’s just a linear single player FPS that takes place in the Metroid universe.

My favorite part of the game was the boss fights which were all great. The graphics are obviously nice, but other than that, it’s just a mid game. I’d say 7/10. If I could sum up this game in one word, I’d say shallow.

Just realizing Dust is Drake’s response to Kendrick’s Super Bowl halftime show

In the begining of the song he talks about how he’s in Australia and doesn’t know what’s going on back home. This was the same timeframe that Kendrick did the Super Bowl. He’s essentially saying he’s unfazed.

Then after the beat switches, he’s telling someone to blow the dust off their plaques. I think this is addressing Jay Z, since he’s the one that picked Kendrick to perform. Telling him that he’s washed up.

So he bypasses addressing Kendrick and goes for the one who’s pulling the strings behind the curtain.

Reach or nah?

What’s your favorite moment on Iceman?

It can be a verse, beat switch, lyric, etc. Mine is when National Treasures switches to the 2nd beat. That entire verse along with the beat switch is just perfect. And when the beat drops after he says “I feel like a squid” just feels like such a victorious moment. The beat playing out feels like vindication after all the 2024 none sense. I also love the seem less and perfect transition to B’s on the Table which also continues the victorious vibes with those crazy horns and synths.
