Light leak questions

This is my lovely old yaschica and this weekend it seems to have light leaks not on every frame but on some film loaded in not perfect conditions but I’d expect it to be more repetitive if that was it, kept in the half leather case and shot indoors and out and still the same light leak I have included the scans and the negs as people like to see them for analysis.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Recommendations please

So in my hunt to round off my kit I thought I’d pick up a 4.5x magnifier for critical focusing found this one on Amazon for £9.99 and it’s bloody huge! Please can someone recommend something similar but far smaller

Thanks in advance

Edit I ended up returning the 4.5x and getting a 10x

Film holder test

I have seen that I should probably test my dark slides before loading them with film and shooting and that paper is better/ cheaper then film.

My question is once I load some cut down RC paper into the holder under red light, how should I be testing the holders?

Take them out in full day light for a simulated amount of time eg take one from a bag pretend to load it in a camera then flip it then put it back in the bag as that would be more realistic than just leaving them out in day like for a solid 10 minutes?

Thanks for any advice in advance.

Thank you all!

Thank you all for all your recent advice on daylight dev tanks and dark cloths I have just received my order of both, I ended up going for the sp-445 over the zebra as I could get both items for less than the zebra tank in the uk before shipping and import!

Looking forward to getting some film out the fridge and making my first images tho I can’t say they will be much cop 😂

Dark cloth/ focusing cloth

I think I need to get one, how many of you use one and is it definitely a worth while investment? Or do you just chuck over a hoodie or item of clothing if you need that bit of shade?

TENBA! What a dream

So I have been looking for a storage solution and to carry my Sinar 4x5 i finally bit the bullet and thought sod it why not try the Tenba cinelux v2 back pack I had my eye on the high top shoulder bag but this was £100 cheaper and man am I impressed the bag is solid decent padding all round ridged and after dropping them an email I can purchase addition full set of dividers to match the current ones!! I did look at the Sakk 51l back pack but it looked so flimsy and I love the Dr style of this bag! This is a rough just chuck it all in and see if it fits but the supplied lens wraps are really nice and padded so one for the lens and one for the bellows! My standard pole/ monorail fits in the side pocket, Best £150 I have spent on a camera bag!

Sorry bit of a boring post but I hope maybe it might help someone else looking for something simular ☺️

Monorail

I have a nice monorail sinar 4x5 and plan on taking it out and about as I can’t justify having a field camera at the moment I will be working from within a 30min walk from my car to begin with as I learn the camera. My question is I’m looking for a bag for moving it and storage as the cardboard box it’s currently in isn’t optimal I don’t fancy a peli as being airtight I know there not good to store tings in long week and the foam can degrade I have seen these manfrotto cine loader bags and wonder if anyone has any experience with them? I have the camera 3 lenses 4/5 double loaders then the usual extra bits dark cloth focus finder thinking a medium may be enough 28l or the bigger one which is 43l capacity

Many thanks in advance
