¿What do you think? ¿It's worth it? I need to know please

I'm asking because I'm curious, and I also know there's a 2D version that finished a while ago, although I haven't seen it either, and I'd like to know if this 3D version is worth it, since I personally prefer 3D animation.

I ask because I don't see the connection between them. I know they were both written by the same author and seem to be in the same universe, but I don't see the link.

Another thing I'd like someone to explain is that the dynamics of both stories are different. In Wang Lin, the story mostly revolves around him: his decision to join the cultivation world, the massacre of his clan, his revenge for his family, his growth, and finally, his effort to revive Li Muwan.

In Beyond Time Gaze, the dynamics change. Xu Qing's main objective is survival, and there's more focus on showing what the world he lives in is like, so there's more to the story than just the main character's growth.

The irony is that the cultivation system in both seems to be different, so I don't see how they're set in the same universe, and I'd like someone to explain it to me.
