When did you first start taking anti-aging skincare seriously?

Lately I've started noticing a few really fine lines around my eyes, and I know they're probably just normal expression lines, but they've made me think more about anti-aging skincare. Up until now I've mostly just focused on keeping my skin hydrated and wearing sunscreen, but I'm wondering if this is the point where I should start using something specifically for anti-aging.

My skin is pretty sensitive, so I'm a little hesitant to jump straight into a strong retinol. Are there moisturizers that are a good introduction to anti-aging, or products with gentler retinoids or lower-strength retinol that are better for beginners? For those of you who started noticing the first signs of aging, what did you end up using? I'd love to hear what worked for you.
