Ding dang hottest Plobanos ever!

Didn't realize how much heat home growns would pack. Cooked some on the grill last night. Yes, I'm a bit of a wimp when it comes to heat, but these things packed some jap level heat. Gotta a whole bush full. I'm pretty excited. Gonna lt some go red to dry.

Yay!

Plant it, and they will come. My first year with Milkweed & my first little one. I've been seeing Monarchs visiting and stopping on the Milkweed. And now this. Exciting stuff.

Hung out with a new friend this am. Just watching them do the rounds. Hudson Valley, New York.

Yes chef!

He doesn't like my rough chop. But apparently, he likes the smell of garlic and onion cause he's been hanging while I prep.

Catskill Brewing Gose

For fans of the style, this Old Mill Falls is a winner. Don't know how widely available it is, but Hudson Valley, NY area peeps need to try it. Especially with some Friday night pizza. The peppercorn was pefect with the cheese. Like cacio e pepe pasta.

Tulip Tree

Our backyard Liriodendron tulipifera. First Spring in our new home. What a beauty. Also, a great looking Red Oak just behind it. These trees make me happy. Right now, the Tulip is flowering, and it's swarming with life.

Big ole Hornet!

First time seeing a European Hornet (?). He seems pretty chill. Just sitting on my well casing. Peanut is for the crows I feed, but it works for scale. He's been there for about 15 minutes. Insecticides? It's a bit cooler today. Is that part of it, or is its behavior normal?
