Trying to figure out if I should throw in the towel on Viibryd

So I’ve been slowly tapering on to Viibryd while tapering off Lexapro since late August. I’ve been at 30mg of Viibryd for over a week, and down to 10mg of Lexapro for several weeks. For the past few weeks I have had some of the worst depression and anxiety of my life. I’m trying to figure out if this depression/anxiety is just circumstantial or if it’s the med change. I am extroverted and thrive on human connection and community. But I was sick on and off for all of September and became extremely lonely and isolated feeling. I have a loving and supportive partner but we’ve had to have some tough conversations over the past month. And it’s the anniversary of my dad’s passing and fall can just be hard. Oh and work is killing me with stress and I’m dealing with some health issues. So there’s a LOT going on that would make anyone depressed. But I’ve never experienced this level of lasting deep, physically painful depression. And constant torment from anxiety. I fear I’m burdening my partner and mom and friends with rants about my spirals. And no one can help me. I am trying all of the coping skills, support groups, therapy, journaling, etc. But it’s been so awful that I’m leaning towards telling my psych I want to get off Viibryd no matter what, even if my extreme depression/anxiety is just due to life circumstances. I just worry that I’m not giving it a fair enough shot. And I worry that there isn’t any med out there that can help me. I’ve tried countless antidepressants and that’s why I had so much hope for Viibryd in the first place, because it’s a little different than a typical SSRI. I had a few days where depression was lifting last week. And then boom, got triggered and into a multi day depression/anxiety spiral with many crying spells. I know this isn’t a place for medical advice and I will work closely with my psych on this. But I’m just wondering if anyone else has felt this way on a med change and if they have any insight/wisdom to share?

Insecure about body changing despite successfully losing weight

TW: talk of an ED (BED). Hello all, I just wondered if anyone else has struggled with insecurity over their body changing while losing weight? Even if they are feeling healthier? I am feeling exactly that now. I have lost 20 lbs on Saxenda/Liraglutide. I was pre-diabetic prior to starting Saxenda. I was binge eating regularly and diagnosed with binge eating disorder last year. Since starting Saxenda I was just starting to feel more comfortable in my body again & free-er from the binge eating. I was feeling good about my weight loss. But now I am noticing sagging skin on my arms & other places which makes me self conscious to have them uncovered. It has been hard to motivate myself to do weight training (I have inattentive adhd as well and can NOT motivate myself to do weight training or go to the gym right now). But I feel like I need to. I’m almost afraid to lose more weight until I can get myself to go to the gym or weight train more regularly. To lessen the skin sagging and tone my body a bit. My body just feels a little deflated. I feel like I’m swimming in most of my clothes and bras. But then I took my measurements and according to size charts, my bra and clothing sizes should be bigger than what I’m currently wearing and swimming in? It’s so confusing and emotional. I was in a store for 2 hours the other day trying on clothes today and some things a size up were too tight, and some things a size down were too big. I know sizes vary wildly. But it is hard not to feel just awful about myself and turn inward and start shaming and hating myself. I was crying all night and asking my boyfriend to tell me I’m still beautiful and still attractive to him like a crazy person. I want to keep on this weight loss journey but damn it’s hard, even though I’m losing weight & getting healthier and stronger which was the goal. Just wondering if anyone else out there can relate to the confusion & emotions of your body changing, even when it’s what you want? Also, I should mention that I meet with an eating disorder therapist weekly, and a weight management doctor & dietician who is ED informed as well. I am quite overweight although my BMI is 46 (I started out at 48), so I’m not sure if this is the right place to post. But I feel like this isn’t right for other communities as well so I feel a little lost.
