Indian Women and their obsession with dissing Indian Men?

Came back from a similar post in AIW so the opposite should be addressed too I guess?

Logically speaking, every human being is different, they have a different way of analysing things or making judgements, or expressing their emotions. So, to me, collectively dissing Indian Men/Indian Women feels like utter stupidity, no matter who does it.

Secondly, when we talk about relationships, everyone has their personal preference. Indian Men dating Indian or Foreign Women, or Indian women dating Indian or Foreign Men is also an individuals personal preference.

Indian women expressing about dating foreigners is fine, it's their own preference, but when an Indian guy addresses about dating someone outside India, his character gets butchered by chronically online keyboard warriors. Double standards?

Some people should be reminded that the Image of 'Indians' collectively is ruined outside the country. Instead of addressing the issues and improving our civic sense and character, all our people do is take sides and through dirt at each other, where is the Maturity?

Suggest me some good beard oils?

19M. I've been growing my beard and moustache for some years, but there are some portions where it has been pretty patchy. I need recommendations for some good beard oils to make the density of my beard more even.

Debunking the trending topic that 'Sons don't carry the Family Lineage'. How accurate is it?

Recently, a narrative has been made popular by certain social media pages that 'Son doesn't carry the family lineage, a daughter does'. And these posts have thousands of likes with hundreds of comments supporting the narrative without doing any sort of fact checking, promoting mindless gender wars.

As a fellow human, it is my responsibility to educate people about the reality so that they don't indulge in such stupidity.

The narrative:

"Daughter carries the Family Lineage, Son doesn't"

What are the claims made?

A person’s “true” genetic lineage is carried only through daughters because mitochondrial DNA passes from mother to child, while sons do not pass it on. This implies that sons are effectively the end of a lineage, while daughters preserve an “unbroken genetic thread” across generations.

Now, what is the truth here?

Mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) is inherited almost entirely from the mother.

Mitochondria are tiny energy factories inside cells, and they contain their own little packet of DNA.

So:

Sons get mtDNA from their mother

Daughters also get mtDNA from their mother

Only daughters usually pass it to the next generation

That part is basically correct.

But Lineage doesn't end at Mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA)

You inherit:

~50% nuclear DNA from your mother

~50% nuclear DNA from your father

That nuclear DNA contains the overwhelming majority of your genetic information. Your traits, appearance, height tendencies, disease risks, personality influences, etc. are mostly there.

So sons absolutely carry and pass on their father’s DNA.

A son passes:

  1. half of his nuclear DNA to his children

  2. his Y chromosome to sons (if he has sons)

That means paternal genetic lines absolutely continue.

Now, This part is also exaggerated:

“Unbroken, unaltered for generations.”

Nah, Not really.

Mitochondrial DNA mutates over time too. Slowly, but it does mutate. That’s actually how scientists track maternal ancestry and ancient migrations.

So yeah, MtDNA is exclusively from the mother, and it helps to trace maternal ancestry. Just like how the Y chromosome is exclusive from the Father.

Now, a small fun fact:

There are rare documented cases of paternal mitochondrial inheritance, but they’re extremely unusual.

So the “only mother” rule is mostly true in practice, just not an absolute law of the universe. 👍🏻

Lineage also depends on societal factors.

So, TLDR: It takes both to create a child, and both son and daughter carries the family lineage. Thus, instead of making useless posts which can create gender wars, we should promote equality in society. Sons and daughters, both carry the lineage and both deserve equal amount of respect in society. We are not living in the old times when daughters were denied to carry family lineage. Spread love, no hate 😎

Edit: No Idea why this post has 67% upvote ratio. Saying common sense is also a problem nowadays?

Everyone is missing the main point of this post. In today's world, there are far more important things to worry about. But spreading misinformation on the internet to brainwash people and spread targetted hatred towards one community should be called out.

Can y'all sometimes make question which has nothing to do with Women or Marriage?

I know that we guys have a lot of things to ask questions about. Job, Career, Science, Performance Arts, Gaming, Food, Cars, Anything. Let's not make every question about 'Women this, women that' and turn this Subreddit into an echo chamber. 👍🏻

Lmao I remember last year there were three slots to put your preferenced campus and course, why is there only one this year? This is diabolical 😭

I thought for 18K rank, I'd give CSE Core, CSE Big Data and ECE, all in KTR. Whichever I'll get, I would take it. CSE Core is almost impossible, there is a thin chance for Big Data and ECE is easy to get for that rank. I'm doomed without this 3 slot choice filling.
