So I tried hatchet bite!

Earlier today I said I’d be trying hatchet bite over regular bite to see how it felt.

I decided regular bite was more my thing after trying to catch an albino silosaurus on Gondwa.

According to the Wiki;
Regular bite : 50 damage
Hatchet bite : 70 damage + 40 bleed

The trade off being a 3 second cooldown and a stamina cost.

This Rex had taken about 4 bites from an alpha snake when I snuck up on him and started the attack.

From the first bite to the last took about 12:30 minutes.

My main strat. was of course to hit attacks, keep him moving and let the bleed do its work.

I want to say to begin with, I am okay at this game but by no means a pro at PVP. You can see me seriously mess up a few times in this vid alone. I don’t think this Rex was really a pro either.

But this is my first ever solo rex kill VS an adult (with some snake help).

I feel like I really learned a lot in this fight and needless to say I’m officially a hatchet bite believer.

Pest living up to his name.

I mentioned before about a win not needing someone to die.

I chased this guy out of my forest and had him backed into a corner.

I’d consider that a win

PSA: Play with headphones

Disclaimer to begin with, I do hunt juvies in this clip. You have been warned.

But this isn’t about being a montage of killing players trying to grow.
I’ve been having a great time recently on Allo (I’m sure there are better Dino’s for this, I just like Allo a lot)
I’ve marked out the mid section of BF as my territory and trying to ambush anyone who comes in and it has been great! Nothing has felt so much like a predator/ prey hunt scenario like this to me.

The star of this show is headphones though. Playing with headphones on is like having wall hacks. I can hear things walking from like a POI away. I can easily follow and track players through the dense vegetation without needing to see them at all. It feels like cheating.

In this clip I heard a pack of herbs from half my territory away which I was able to watch leave, then follow at a distance until an opportunity for attack came.

a juvie herb behind me stepping on vegetation.

An achillo stepping in water.

A titan from I don’t know how far away.

If you want to feel like honestly cheating, play with headphones.

Pest has been having a rough day.

Went out brawling today and had a blast.

Something important I’ve learned is that a win doesn’t mean someone died, someone running away is good enough.

Accepting a tie is also more than okay.

Should I remove this?

I had been preoccupied with cucumbers lately and hadn’t notice my tomato plant has grown this second side.
I’m new to this and wondering should I let it grow? Or will it be taking resources from the potential tomatoes? Should I remove it?

All the little flowers are on the original main trunk

Megs are HATED!

I’ve always put Meg players and Conc players as kind of the same (I’m a big Conc player myself).

Today I decided to grow a Meg and I have never met so much back to back KOS aggression.

I feel bad for Meg players now. You are all truly, universally hated!
