For those of you who main with Latenivenatrix what's your game plan going against a spino?

Tl;dr: someone was nice to me on a game and it made my whole day. Consider retaining your empathy when dealing with people online.

It's so easy to forget that all those user names you see in Global chat are actually people. Doing the same thing you're doing. Trying to escape for a little bit. We don't consider the impact our interactions in game have on people. We rage, lash out, insult people. It's the same as doing it in real life. But the negative is a frequent topic of conversation and I want to discuss an act of kindness that may have been done out of boredom, even, and definitely wasn't intended or expected to be as impactful to me as it was.

Without over sharing, suffice it to say I've had a pretty rough go and things haven't really been easy. That's neither here nor there. I play the dinosaur game to relax and take my mind off my real world problems and responsibilities. And today, I was not making the game's job easy on that front.

I play on a lot of community servers and was on Natural History this morning. My Yangchuanosaurus on Nat Hist lives in Redwoods (a little fun roleplay) and I was building my nest. I picked an incredible spot all the way at the far end of the poi, in between tunnels connecting both sides and hidden behind a waterfall. Absolutely sick location, if I do say so myself. However, I didn't consider where resources for nest building were in the poi. I needed sticks, roots, and mud. Sticks and roots were quite the haul already. Then I get to Mud. Mud was clear across the other side of the POI near the border with CEF and BFH. Each trip took near 10 minutes. And I needed so much. There was a group of Austroraptors that I had talked with in local and knew the deal somewhat. They were friendly enough and wished me luck. About 2 hours into building my nest when I finally located the mud nodes, even with online help, I'm so very frustrated, but determined. That's when, returning to drop off the like 3rd mud in 30 minutes, I realize one of the Austros had followed me to my nest. Not only that, they were carrying mud and dropped it at my feet and friendly called and ran off. I said thank you and added it to the nest and went to head back and what do I run into en route? Another Austro carrying mud for me. And these 2 spent 20 minutes helping me finish this up of their own volition. Just to be nice. And it seems really small. But they saved me a solid 45 minutes to an hour and that small act of kindness really changed everything for me.

Anyway, I know this is really long. But with so much focus on the negative in the world, I just wanted to share some kindness with you all.

I’ve been thinking of picking this up for a bit now but every time I do I come on here and it makes me think twice.

I was hoping to see what most people’s experience with the game is.

I keep seeing complaints about mega packs ruining the experience for people - is it as big of a problem as it seems? Are the slurs and in-game chat as bad as people have claimed (is it something easy to ignore)?

I would be a casual solo player with no interest in jumping on discord or anything outside of the in game communication mechanics.

I personally love the ano, I discovered the perfect build and can pretty much kill anything unless surrounded by a bunch of enemies. they also have nice health with the extra ability, have nice stamina, and good endurance. Turnlong rating is beautiful as well. What do you guys think?

My biggest flex is I killed two brachi’s leaving me with a third of health… hehe 👀

What is your favorite solo and flex?

Hey all, I'm wondering how everyone feels about kids who play this game and wanted a bit of advice. I'm new to this game, only been playing for maybe 2 months at a stretch and I was playing tonight with another player. I found out this player was 9 years old and where they lived it was nearly 3 am. Idk why but it just felt a bit off to me personally that such a young kid was playing this game so late all by themselves.

I am a parent myself and I do play this game with my oldest child but we always play together, always during the day, we try to stay a group just me and them, the global chat/whispers are all turned off for them and they play litterally right next to me so I can see what is happening on their end and they also know if they have any concerns of worries to talk to me about it. If an option ever comes available where we can just have our own little world like we do for other games we play then we will do that 100% but for now this is the only way we can play this game with eachother.

Idk if if this is normal to find on this game and I'm just being an oversenstive parent who isn't used to games like this or if this concern for this kid I met on the game is warrented??

Also to add no judgement at all everyone parents however they parent as I said this could just be my personal parental feelings getting involved.

Does anyone know which dinosaur would make a good team with a T-Rex? Other than a Daspletosaurus.

Hello! I finally gre my eotriceratop to adulthood.

I am finding that raptors are the friendliest.

What i find appalling is that ankys and duck bills will team up with carnivores and hunt me down without any provocations.

Is that something I should consider normal? Basically charge anything gets near me?

I’ve been playing this game for 4 years now and although i may not be a true og I would like to think I am and have experienced the ups and downs of this game. I don’t feel like the devs and moderators get the true thanks they deserve. The past year mainly, I’ve seen this game improve immensely, such as with new tlcs, models, skins, A NEW MAP and more and I truly believe they don’t get enough thanks. The cry babies ( the so called “aquatic community” and other toxic players) are the only negative thing about this game. I don’t know why people complain with so much with so much content being released.
Once again a big thanks to the devs and moderators and also anybody else that isn’t toxic.

I love trikes, they’re one of my favorites and the first apex I ever grew on Panjurra. But I haven’t grown one on Riparia just because they feel so terrible right now. What does the community think it needs to be fixed? Increase damage so it can be like a big tank? Add better ways for it to move and escape fights it doesn’t want to take? Perhaps some kind of status like bleed? I don’t really know. My best idea is that it should be able to win straight face tanks and turn faster so it’s scarier, but I am okay with it being too slow to run away. Makes it similar to ano that way but would love to hear some smarter people’s feedback
