I was gonna kill them, but the reaction was so priceless I had to let them live 😂

while lurking in the Wilderness Peak pond i grabbed a laten and killed it. topped off my food and within a min of me waiting for the next target I saw the red chevron pop up on my sarco and took me a sec to notice another laten drinking. well, if they insist, who am I to refuse lol. i do love it when they're good sports about getting jump scared and grabbed by a hidden sarco, makes it all the more fun. true to my word i let them top off their water and leave. a nice change from the usual salt that you often see in chat

so i kept hearing footsteps behind me and through the trees I could see anything but knew something was there. now at first i thought it was this conc who tried my amarg earlier but to my surprise it was instead this Meg. had a fun interaction in the global chat when I stopped and turned my head around to look at them lol. but little did we know we would both soon get jump scared by a random Rex who came outta no where causing both of us to immediately scatter lol. the Rex, likely realizing what was happening, friendly called and left. you ambush Rex's can be absolutely terrifying i swear lol

so my buddy had started a spino a while back but just never got it past the juvi stage. tonight we decided to grow him all the way up. he saw a pair of amargs, gave a friendly call, and crouched up and down to say friendly. the amarg also friendly called but the way they were pincering told me that was a lie. sure enough they immediately started attacking him and I ran in to defend. the 2nd one from what we could tell ran off after their buddy got killed by me. challenging a spino at the waters edge is already an, interesting, decision. challenging said spino that has a juvi with them (and the 25% damage buff) is a very questionable decision

got on and while roaming someone asked for a spino egg. cool, I log and switch to my spino and travel a ways to my nest. I ask if anyone else wants one, yep. so now two baby spino's (teaspoons as I call them) and then their friend the baby dolphin joins and ask to be adopted. it makes for quite the interesting dino family lol and while swimming by a shore, this Dasp glanced over and saw the 4 of us and just stared and then laughed in the local chat about the aquatic field trip

so wondering around, occasionally getting into a couple fights, I saw someone call out a mega pack in Titans Pass. I figure i might as well test my luck and the build i put together. it did really good and nearly killed 4 of them several times but they had a couple metri healing everyone. started to get low on food so I tried to leave into a narrow passage to try and funnel them. unfortunately for me, a Hatz (still unsure if 3rd party or actually apart of their group) showed to and just started spamming Flail to chip away at my health. rip my ano's scars but doing that allowed another pack to come in and kill them. so far as I'm concerned that's a win. 2 pycno, 3 metri, hatz, 3 dasp, and a conc

so one of my buddies saw me and some friends playing and decided to get the game himself. we were running him through the ropes, explaining the important things, helping him grow, etc. we ran into this spino who was really chill and cool. eventually a sucho shows up and we friendly call but keep a close eye as they didn't do it back. we were a group of 3 adult Dasp and a Juvi Dasp (new friend). well I warn him to keep his distance as I don't trust the sucho and my gut was right, the second the sucho thought he was out of our reach he immediately launched a flurry of attacks. unfortunately for the sucho, we were right there and immediately set to work hitting bone breaks and our 3rd buddy hitting piercing bite. sucho runs into the water, fine, nothing we can do. while our new friend was hiding the sucho tried to get to him only to discover our new Spino friend guarding him for us. i don't think I've seen someone get so salty about not being allowed to kill a juvi dino. we all very much thanked the spino who basically replied "I'm just a mama spino keeping the babies safe". you, dear madam, are a gem

ran into this baby armored pancake and decided to group up to help them grow faster. I had just recently gotten the last skin for marks fully unlocked so I'm finally done grinding them on my ano. we roam from zone to zone, grouped with a young pachy and stego for a bit, before stopping at White Cliffs. Stego and Pachy end up logging off after a bit so it's just us now. i suspect they might've been newer as i seemed to have to kinda show them certain questing, but it was very adorable. soon a group of latens showed up and immediately started attacking the child. 1 of which learned the hard way what happens when an organic sledge hammer with a protective attitude meets discount KFC. the little one got pounced and without me needed to say anything they immediately went sideways to me and gave me a clean hit on the laten. the remaining ones very quickly decided it wasn't worth it and ran off. no sooner does that happen when 2 Rex's show up in an ambush state. I immediately tell the pancake to run to HC. sure enough one of the Rex's tries going for them when I hit them with a bone break. well that certainly got their attention as I backed into a corner and nearly took out one of them but the other got just had too much health remaining. may have gone down, but at least the little one survived to the HC

saw this EO and tried asking what skin that is but never got a response. it looks so good, so I ask you, what skin is that on the EO there? [I strongly suspect it's a paid skin out of rotation...]

so i basically grew my Dasp a while back and never really played it after that. I'm currently running a full fracture build and my buddy (not the juvi in the clip) is running a piercing build. is running piercing better then fracture? if so, what are your builds for it? [clip because the death pose at the end made me laugh]

while wandering around on my Ano, questing the marks for the last few skins to unlock, I bumped into this little Sucho. they, understandably, panicked thinking i was gonna be aggressive and kill them. I friendly called and assured them I wasn't aggressive. they started following me around and I felt bad as they were solo. so I decided to find them someone who could, hopefully, take them in. across several regions, 2 very aggressive cera's (big mistake), and a few chill players who just awed, I finally found another Sucho. I asked them in global if they'd be willing to "adopt" this little one. they agreed and group called them. as I was turning to leave, the little one made several friendly calls. another successful rescue by A.A.A. lol

so while roaming around on my Ano and trying out a slight variation to the build i ran into this Meg who was determined to kill me. they were solo (or so i thought) and just kept retreating into the river. soon a styra showed up and immediately started to attack me. didn't take too long for the styra to learn the dangers of bone break with the meg soon following. I grabbed the styra's trophy and immediately set off for the HC. however, I would soon come to realize that they were part of a mega mix pack as a Dasp, Cera, and Alio showed up to stop me from getting into the HC. after fighting them off for a few minutes another ano (absolute legend) showed up, took all the heat and allowed me to delivery the trophy safely. I was now determined to help defend my new ano friend so I rushed back out as fast as i could. didn't see them by the river, but soon heard a fight by the Hunters Thicket lake. found them fighting off a Dasp, Styra, Meg, Alio, Pycno, and Laten. I ran over and we immediately started fighting back to back with some distance so our slam didn't hit each other. after several minutes the Dasp got too aggressive and over extended as they thought the styra had sufficiently lured me away. I got a full break on the Dasp and the other ano immediately took advantage and we took it down. not long after the meg fell (yes, same meg and styra from before). now soon we see another ano running over and in my head in thinking "let's go! 3 tanks!". it didn't take long for me to suspect that something was off about this albino ano as they seemingly always missed their tail swings, even painfully easy ones, and the mega pack wasn't going after them. as they tried getting next to me I thought, their one of the one's we killed so swapped to an ano to get close. soon as i saw the tail point at me, my suspicions were confirmed. multiple heavy tail slams and soon the rest of the pack targeted me. I made a really bad misplay and ate basically all their heavy slams which chunked my health badly and cost me. unfortunately I fell and the other ano not long after did as well. never did find out who the loyal knight ano was, but they were an absolute legend in my book.

I've never experienced this bug? glitch? before. I logged off at the HC next to Snake Gully and when i came back to my stego to play with my friend, this happened
