Being scammed and FedEx won't help me
Long story short, I've got a situation where an eBay seller claims to have shipped a package out to me but they're using a real tracking number that is just going to my city, but not to me. This is, unfortunately, a common practice because they buy 'valid' tracking numbers from unscrupulous FedEx employees which are in a similar locale to you. My only valid option for a charge-back is to prove this shipment didn't come to my address, but FedEx customer service refuses all service because I can't verify who the actual recipient is of this random tracking number. I've tried everything to get around the Indian customer service, but their only option is to 'contact the sender' who is the one trying to scam me. Why is it so hard to get FedEx to do anything?
