Reading this from Satori Reader:

公園には、私のようにウォーキングをしている人や、ジョギングをしている人、犬の散歩をしている人など、たくさんの人たちがいた。

The translation from Satori Reader is:

"In the park, there were lots of people: people who were walking like me, people who were jogging, people who were walking dogs, and so on."

When I read it though, my translation is this:

"In this park, there were people like me walking, people who were jogging, people walking their dogs and such, there were a lot of people."

I ended up with the above because I translated it as I read it.

Is my translation acceptable or wrong?

Started thinking about this because people usually blame one of them when a movie bombs. It's common to here the following:

- The producers forced the director to do something against the director's vision

- The director has a bad take or vision on the movie

- The writer wrote such a bad script

- The actor's portrayal is bad, or the actor is bad

If a specific character in the movie is not well liked, is it because the actor is bad, or is it the director's direction?

If the story is bad or boring, is it because the script is bad, or the director did a bad job?
