I’m a cat owner; just one black cat. What does it mean to dream that there are several cats in my house? Sometimes multiple black cats are in the dream and I worry I’m mistaking my one for the wrong one. Sometimes the cats look very different from my cat, and it’s easy to know they are not him.

Last night I dreamt that there were calicos and black cats in my basement and I had to chase them out. However, upon returning to my upstairs apartment, I accidentally let several black cats slip into the apartment and I was worried about confusing them with mine, or worse, fights or very lengthy and tedious hiding situations with the ones who didn’t belong.
