Just woke up this morning and immediately rushed to watch the episode. Anyway, I was giggling the entire time during the play scene with Hirose and Nakamura.
Reiko kidnapping Nakamura again had me laughing so hard but it was honestly sweet how she gave him those prayer breads to help him catch the eye of his true love (which is obviously Hirose ).
Todoroki was also great this episode. Big respect to my boy for giving Nakamura a free meal. Back in Episode 1, I honestly thought he was just going to be the typical muscle jock guy, but Episodes 8 and 9 completely changed my opinion of him. He’s actually really nice and kind of a softie.
Kawamura giving Nakamura that sketch of Hirose was also really cute.
It was also hilarious seeing Nakamura having an identity crisis the entire episode after seeing Hirose’s sister. Bro was seriously questioning whether he was gay or bi for a second, but I also liked that even while panicking, he kept insisting that he only had eyes for Hirose.
And of course, Tamura politely Strangling asking Nakamura to join the play had me laughing lol.
Overall, I think it was a really good episode. I do wish we got more Hirose and Nakamura moments, but it was still enjoyable. I’m also glad they didn’t adapt that manga part where Hirose didn’t recognize Nakamura during the play because that would’ve hurt me emotionally.
Can't forget about the end credits too! It was so cute with Nakamura and Icchan!
As of now, Episode 9 is about the play, Episode 10 covers the library and restaurant and Episode 11 will be the girlfriend chapter. That leaves Episodes 12–13.
From what I’ve heard, Episode 12 will be like a recap and might be similar to Episode 6, but instead of focusing on friendship, it could go deeper into their romantic relationship.
I know a lot of people keep saying the anime is mainly about friendship and self-growth, but honestly, I find that hard to fully believe when it’s literally a comedy BL.
Personally, I still think they’ll end up together or at the very least confess their feelings to each other by the end.
Episode 8 just came out and this episode had me laughing so hard 😭
But anyway… after that ending, Matsumura might actually be the biggest perv in the series 💀 Bro had pictures of Hirose from middle school AND grade school?? 💀 And it somehow gets worse because he also kept Hirose’s erasers and even the PE uniform Todoroki gave him. The way he treasured that shirt like it was some holy relic had me dying 😭
Now, I can’t fully defend Nakamura either because this man literally sniffed Hirose’s PE uniform 💀 AND he also wanted copies of Hirose’s middle school pictures when Matsumura brought them out.
I’m honestly glad they didn’t adapt that one manga part where Nakamura secretly took pictures of Hirose like an actual stalker 😭 That would’ve made the accusations way worse.
So yeah, both of them are definitely weirdos 😭 but Matsumura is still 100% the bigger perv.
Honestly I hope we can see nakamuras new haircut on ep11 so that we can see it more on ep 12-13
What I mean is that in Episodes 6 and Seven (and no, I’m not doing that meme ), Nakamura and Hirose have gotten closer again, kind of like in Episode 4. But Episode 5 took a different turn because of Takeuchi and the teacher situation.
Do you think Episodes 8 or 9 will take another unexpected turn too? There’s this chapter in the manga where Hirose gets a girlfriend, and I know that would absolutely destroy Nakamura fans like me emotionally.
But at the end of that chapter, we see Hirose talking to Otogiri again and even inviting him for a ride. I feel like some fans would get mad or even be pissed again at both Hirose and Otogiri again, if the anime adapts that part.
Personally, I think this part of the manga will be in episode 10 but we can't be sure now if they decided to make it on ep 8 or 9 to be that early.
At first, I’m convinced it was Hirose, but the moment the teacher flashed them, I think Hirose let go and the ghost immediately swooped in And Nakamura didn’t even realize it was no longer Hirose holding his hand in the end💀
