I dont really know how to make games, i have made a background and tilemap, with character animations for the game im trying to create but i dont know alot of things or techniques yet. What im hoping to get from this is videos to learn how to script as i dont know alot besides the very very basic things from the gdquest script lessons and understanding what the templates are talking about. Another thing would be to learn how to use the editor, inspector, etc. (ik theres WAYYY more) to their full potential. If you have any suggestions below please feel free to share them. (Also please link something a movie long max, im gonna lose all motivation if its more than 2 hours)

Im trying to code a game for the first time and i need to use the animationplayer node instead of animatedsprite because of wonky hitboxes and animations (on purpose) and ive been trying for days on how to be able to flip my animations and keep it there but all attempts end in either; errors, it wont stay and will go back to looking right, it doesnt even play the animation, or it plays the wrong animation. Theres no code i can show cause i dont know what to show. If someone were to help kindly use the base template as thats what im using.
