Boiling vs roasting over the fire

First time posting here. Added spoiler tag just in case.

While watching the different seasons, I noticed that some contestants primarily boil their meat/fish in the pot while others prefer roasting over the open fire.

Open discussion: Do the contestants who boil more often seem to last longer (or have fewer digestive issues) than the ones who mainly roast?

In my opinion, slow cooking in a pot preserves a lot more of the fats and oils instead of letting them drip into the fire.

Curious what other people have noticed across the seasons. Thanks.
