Hiawatha #250 visiting NCTM for America 250 Locomotive Celebration

Big news for a small engine! Hiawatha #250 will be traveling cross country from the Orange County Model Engineers to the North Carolina Transportation Museum for the Celebration.

The 7.5in gauge pacific might be the smallest ride-on America 250 locomotive in the entire country. It’ll be on display from August 28th to 30th for the entire event

If anyone is planning on visiting NCTM for the event stop by the display and take a photo with the engine!

Hiawatha #250 debuts at Goathill Junction Railroad

This weekend Hiawatha #250 debuted at the Orange County Model Engineers’ Goathill Junction Railroad in Costa Mesa, CA. It’s a 7.5in gauge 4-6-2 pacific that runs on propane. The locomotive is owned by one of the OCME volunteers and it was painted by a small group of volunteers over the past few weeks. It was really popular in passenger service!
