Pokemon is Solarpunk
We had an event today with Pokemon Go. I am working on different Solarpunk ideas within our Museum and this was a perfect day to test out some things and get some early feedbacks for my designs and ideas.

Hello fellow Solarians,
I am working on a Solarpunk exhibition and looking for good quotes that encapsulate Solarpunk for you.
Two quotes I already know I will be using are:
"It's not a problem to solve, it's a process to manage."
-Adam Savage
And of course the one by LeGuin about imagining the end of capitalism like ending the divine right of kings and artists bringing about such changes.
What quotes make you think of Solarpunk?
Maybe some additional Inspiration:
The exhibition will be segmented into 8 rooms.
First room is "Finding the volcano"
Second room is "Entering 1816"
Third room is "kinds of SciFi"
Fourth room is "Communicating better" (gonna be the LeGuin quote, this room also features ideas found in this sub)
Fifth room is "building bridges" (could be the Adam Savage quote)
Sixth room is "New Art for a new age"
Seventh room is "technological disobedience"
Eight room is "setting sail"
Excited to hear your ideas!
-Johannes
Hi All!
I work in a Museum and currently working in my spare time on a Solarpunk exhibition. It is being developed as a VR game and I am currently spitballing ideas for the Escape Rooms with our fantastic developer. My part is coming up with content and the narrative.
While working on it I spend a lot of time reading SciFi and Solarpunk books and thinking about how to define Solarpunk. I also follow this sub for 2-3 years now. In an attempt to find graphics that capture my understanding of it all and connect it to the rest of our exhibition I designed a couple of Logos for different ideas within Solarpunk juxtaposing it with our current approach to technology. I tried to avoid using AI even though we recently got a full Google Upgrade for the Museum and Banana is actually kinda good at cleaning up designs. Yesterday it struck me that I could just use what I got so far to Design a simple Uno- Style Card Game.
I prototyped it today and will try to playtest it with my mom tomorrow.
What do you think of the designs? The message so far is: we got this!
Instead of chasing pipe dream High Tech we should focus and All In on stuff that works. We dont need self driving cars. Taxis are already self driving cars from a consumer perspective. We dont need Fusion Power Plants we got Fusion Power safely stored in space beaming more Energy down on us than we would reasonably need. We dont need Mars colonies, robotic deep space Exploration is fine enough. We dont need Terraforming, we got a planet that is already Terraforming itself if we let it do its thing.
