Mother’s Day cheesecake
Hello everyone.
This is my 4th ever cheesecake. A classic NY style cheesecake, and I made a homemade blueberry jam sauce and homemade dulce de leche as toppings for people to decide what they want on it.
First time making this type. My first two cheesecakes were pumpkin cheesecakes, and my third was an eggnog cheesecake using my homemade eggnog.
4 cheese + Butter and Mayo + Cast Iron
Using up the last bits of some bread. Sourdough loaf, and a wonderbread burger bun. Don’t care for wonderbread usually, but there’s no denying it makes a nice grilled cheese. It crisps up so well, and the sugars in the bread caramelize to give it a subtle sweetness that’s really nice.

The one on the right is without the cheese crust. I’ve experimented enough with the cheese crust idea now that I’ve learned I just prefer it without. Especially having eaten them side by side like this. It is tasty, but the classic way is just better texture at the end of the day. So this is probably the last time I do cheese crust.
