Every couple of days, you see a post about the lightbulb coming on in someone's head, and they make a "VRChat has changed" or "It's not the same" kind of post.

Let me assure you: VRChat is the same as it was in 2017 as it is now.
The avatars may have updated, uganda knuckles is a cryptid, but it's still the same game it has always been (with more jiggle physics).

The platform is the same... You're the one who's changed.
Most people either played or are playing this game in the most volatile and evolutionary cycles of their lives. Everyone from the barely able to play 13yo who has zero social abilities and is basically someone's pet feral wildling let loose on a hedset, to the fresh 19yo who thinks they're a "full-grown adult" already.

I do not believe I have ever met a single person who was the same at 13 as they were at 17, as they were at 22.

And by the time you start to solidify as a fully functional adult on the other side of 25, you have basically shed your exoskeleton and become the person you're going to be.. . .. for the next 10 years or so, then you'll be someone completely different, again.

You don't have to play the same game, go to the same worlds, and keep doing the same things you've always done, feeling like you've lost your joy or things have "changed".

Thats just how it goes. Embrace the now. Recognize who you are, not who you were, and allow yourself to grow.

Now go play some Crates or something!
