Since I'm here, I wanted to share a pretty cool moment I had in the game recently!
Got double bootlegs in a raid while looking for Sirenade! Sirenade was Glitter, and Flapwoods was Astral!

What is it that you all love the most about her? You can probably guess mine.

I asked Layla mains just earlier, but understandably, they didn't seem particularly familiar with Vodyanitsa's kit, so my questions remains. You see, I've been raising a Layla DPS team for fun, because I'm kinda sad Layla's off fielder status hasn't seen any relevance lately. It's just a Layla/Chongyun/Furina core, and the goal is to on field with Layla, but... I was wondering if Vodyanitsa would fit into this team? I don't know her kit perfectly well, but from my understanding she doesn't need to be in Stellar Swirl to shred Hydro and Cryo, and has healing (although I'm unaware just how much).
I will like to put a DISCLAIMER that I know this is the furthest thing from playing optimally, and I embrace the team's nature as a shit post... even so, I would still like to know if our beloved Siren provides any value to it. Thank you all in advance!
That was the first time I've seen him get taken by the track
A clip from the last festival where I genuinely lost 100 speed because... the game wanted me to I guess???
At the same time, I've noticed that in a vast majority of my races using it, I also start in the bottom of the pack and I've had varying amounts of difficulty getting back up. I would love to know how people optimally play this build, or if there's even any decent videos/streams of races using the build that I could use as a visual example of what to do.
I tried it just yesterday and it's a fun concept with how it changes how players interact with a core mechanic of the game, I just can't see a benefit to it, because the penalty discourages drifting often, so you're just kinda stuck taking sharp turns awkwardly by either not drifting or taking a massive speed penalty every turn, and neither really feel good for me. If anyone has had success with it I'd love to hear about it though!
Haven't posted here in a while, but I've been playing more frequently again thanks to the addition of Classic Sonic causing a resurgence of players online. Excited to share more moments in my races again!
Basically, I just think having to be hit in order for it to work just doesn't make sense in a game like this, where every bar of HP is valuable as floors get progressively more chaotic with the sheer number of infected at every corner, at least on a character like Squiddle who wants to stay out of the action the most out of anyone with how his sanity can deplete in literal seconds.
I don't believe it should be changed drastically, as I think the Ink gimmick should stay, but I think it's condition should either be more practical as a passive, like perhaps he automatically sets the ink trap at the beginning of a chase instead, but it has a cooldown before it can activate again! Or, alternatively, his dash could leave an ink trail with the same effect instead, and his passive can be changed to something more complimentary to his playstyle (And things like skill cooldown, ink duration, or the slowdown effect could be adjusted as needed, although I think the dash is fine in my experience).
I am curious to know what others think, and maybe I'll learn from another's perspective, so feel free to say what you will.
