Any recommended 3pl to face the incoming European tax on small parcels?

Hi Everyone,

Everything is in the title; Looking for a 3pl with a solution to bypass the new UE regulations

Most of my revenue coming from high volume/low margin stores (mainly french market), the incoming tarif imposed by UE is gonna hurt a lot, and Im thinking for counseling

France actually already imposed a similar tarif months ago but the 3pl Im working with (Pivo Trade for those who know) used YunEx and rerouted the order to Netherlands in other to avoid the tax

However it seems that for this global tax there is nothing similar that can be done so im looking for another solution, as I said my margins are already low and 3$*SKU is not gonna do good to my pricing!

Cheers

New European small parcel tax and 3pl

Hi there,

Im opening a chat to ask what were your 3pl recommendations for by-passing the potential european tax arriving on small parcels?

So far I've been working with Pivo Trade and they've never disappointed - when france added the tax before the rest of europe they just contourned it by shipping to the Netherlands with YunExpress but as all europe is about to face this problem they seem to be against a wall for now...

To clarify, as most of my revenues come from high volume/low margin stores it would hurt a lot :)

Cheers

How I transitionned from dropshipping to pure 3pl logistics?

Heyhey everyone,

Just wanted to share my journey!

I’m a 25 y/o French guy currently based in South China. I got into dropshipping around the start of COVID, and originally moved here just for studies. I started learning Chinese for school as classes were taught in chinese but it ended up becoming one of the most valuable assets for my business (especially since my first agent barely spoke English 😅)

At the beginning, I was doing the classic dropshipping setup / agents, sourcing through them, etc. But once I started digging deeper and sourcing directly from factory apps in China, I realized how much margin I was losing. Honestly, most “typical” agents and middlemen are taking way more than you think (at least for me they were eating my margins) --> had two stores running mainly on SEO (that still run now), so orders were predictable. At first I was literally shipping everything from my dorm room to a transporter lol since volume was pretty low but then volume picked up and i cosigned in Shenzhen a small warehouse + signed a contract with a transporter!

And what started as a way to save costs and have more control basically turned into a small 3PL operation so now I’m helping friends from the French ecom community fulfill their orders too. I’ve hired 2 full-time employees for picking & packing, and the operation is growing steadily. So for me now next step is moving into a shenzhen free trade zone, but for now I’m focusing on scaling the client side because the model feels way more solid long-term --> at least way less volatility compared to running stores

Anyway, just wanted to share this because I know a lot of people in dropshipping don’t realize how much they’re litteraly getting squeezed on the backend

Happy to answer questions if anyone’s curious or anything!

(Im just wondering if Im allowed to share images/links to share the journey as I dont want it to be self-prom)
