What ammo do you use for Practice?

Title pretty much says it but which ammo do you use for practice or plinking? I am currently testing Eley for comp ammo but looking for something that I can buy in bulk for practice that isn't absolutely inconsistent. Previously tried SK but the rifle didn't like it. (457 At-One Varmint 24")

What is your #1 long range tip to newer shooters?

What piece of advice do you think all new shooters need to hear, that they won't find easily? Obviously we all want to have fun and enjoy the hobby/sport but what did you find out through experience that changed your performance?

Personal Acomplishment - 700 Yards

I really just want to put this out there as I dont currently have many people familiar with any sort of distance shooting in my circle so came to Reddit for some validation.

Went out to the longest range I could get to in less than an hour from home (lucky to have that as an option) and after some vetting and light training from the awesome owner of the range, I was able to make first round impacts at 100-700 yard IPSC targets. I know this isn't super difficult but I am riding the high as I only started shooting recently (march was the first time I fired a Handgun at 25 yards, April an AR-15 at 50 yards, and now taking my 6mm GT out to 700 yards just feels brag worthy, so here is my rambling self brag.

Also met a couple of rad gents preping for a DMR competition coming up. They were friendly and super willing to share their wisdom on PRS and DMR since I mentioned I was interested in getting into PRS. Really appreciate the community in this hobby thus far.

Resigned After 12 Years with a Company

(crosspost since Reddit insisted...)
After 12 years working for the same company and seeing it grow from a realtively unknown business to a Fortune 500 Company, I have resigned. This decision came about after a decent into hell from constant additions of work responsibilities, being demanded to be on call on weekends (not in my job agreement), being in a constant state of urgency due to poor leadership decisions, and being placed on a PIP for things that were never mentioned being issues previously. I will not name the company because, for customers, they are a solid company that does good things.

Things I learned while working there were: How to truly provide top quality customer service, a whole industry I never expected to get into, and how corporate office politics are the only thing that matters in career growth. "If you dont play the game, you will always lose." -Previous Manager.

I will be pivoting to a new industry at age 40. Looking for something where I have minimal contact with other humans and dont have to update trackers and write reports about every little thing I do on a daily basis, preventing me from doing the actual work that needs to be done.

I don't know why im posting this. I guess I just needed to put it out into the universe. If you read this, thanks! I hope you manage to thrive in this end stage capatilistic hellscape.
