2026 Yukon - Elevation Vs Denali Decision Help

We're looking to purchase a new vehicle and the GMC Yukon is on top of the list.

The main discussion we have been contemplating so far is if the Denali is worth the extra money over the Elevation. The options that we are considering are the Elevation with the Elevation Premium Package and the Denali with the Advanced Tech Package (very difficult to get) or the Denali Reserve Package.

  • Elevation w/ Elevation Premium Package is ~$83.5k. Includes a $3k incentive on the package and the final destination charge. Excluding taxes and doc fees.
  • Denali w/ Denali Reserve Package is ~$96.5k. Includes a $750 incentive (only) on the package and the final destination charge. Excluding taxes and doc fees.

Main differences between the two we see in Denali is the 6.2L V8, Magnetic Ride Control, 22" wheels and the Denali badge that command the ~$14k cost difference between the two variants.

We test drove the Elevation w/ Elevation Premium Package and really liked it. The engine felt a tad bit underpowered but not a deal breaker for the short drive. The interior space was great, the features like large HUD were useful as well. We are buying this vehicle for our growing family and will not be towing. The Super Cruise addition is a need for us, hence the package additions.

Looking for some feedback from folks who have driven either/both - would the larger engine and the magnetic ride be a substantial miss? I prefer to go with the 20" wheels as we live in MI and generally prefer the ride quality of a 20" wheel. Haven't driven the magnetic ride control variant yet.

The $3k incentive makes a big difference, along w/ the GM friends and family discount. Is the Denali just the better variant overall or is the Elevation a better bang for the buck vehicle.
