Originally u/winterflare_'s idea. Was doing +0 but even just first phase took like 5 minutes. +5 still kinda destroyed him but not as hard. If I hadn't gone straight to +5 when I made the save state I might have done +2/+3 had I known. Well, guess I'm a shitter for not doing +0 SB0, but I'm not making a new save for SB0 - I wasn't lying when I said I've lost love for these games; most of these cosplays and silly builds haven't really been fun to play for me but I was hoping they'd be interesting to watch for others.
Lightning Slash is pretty mid on a weapon like this, apart from flavour. Executioner's Greataxe is an amazing weapon paired with RKR, though. A bit of a pain to farm, but you can farm it at the same time as your Grave Scythes. At 2:20 I fucked up because for some reason you can queue up like 17 hits after a roll but the game simply won't let you input a 1/2 hand and you have to wait.
This was surprisingly more in depth than I think u/ca_waves thought, or at least I treated it as such. Initially I was going for 2 stitchers, a +0 Lightning Slash for P1 (to have it last longer than a minute) and +25 for P2 using only Lightning Ram for the kill. I did really enjoy using Lightning Ram to dodge Destined Death though, found that quite funny.
There aren't actually the greatest openings for Lightning Ram, and it's due to the stupid fucking initial bleat. It takes so long and Maliketh recovers extremely quickly into shit like his projectile throws, so you don't have many good opportunities with how slow it is. It also does like no damage, so you play quite passively and it's super boring to watch. The only way to be more active would be to use Blasphemous Claw I think, but I would never do that against my favourite boss.
After talking about this with my friend u/winterflare_, I decided to drop the Lightning Ram only gimmick and just try to get some good use out of it where possible. +15 felt like a compromise to not completely destroy him and not have it be too boring. My +0 kill was faster than this shit, lol.
Best boss in the game. Wish they gave our boy some more health, though, he's got that Morgott squishiness.
You would be forgiven for thinking this fight is a test of skill, but in reality it's a test of patience - I have none for this lazy reuse-turned-gank of otherwise decent solo bosses.
Dragonscale flesh precluded the use of Ritual Sword/Red-Feather for this fight, but the extra strength means it actually did the same amount of damage basically, whilst giving enough endurance for this stupidly heavy cosplay to mid-roll.
Godskin Noble w/ Lightning Ram vs. Maliketh is up next, I suppose (as suggested by u/ca_waves).
+3 because +0 I am not even sure is possible, the damage is so low and you'd run out of Dragonscale flesh most likely at NG+7 anyway. Communion flesh would work if you used a helm like Divine Bird, but you sacrifice the cosplay and that's not on. Still, this is much worse than a good +0.

Originally recorded this for my friend u/winterflare_. I did later do a hitless, faster fight but I prefer the ending to this one. Doing this made me want to get some gimmick fights done before retiring again.
In the embrace of Messmer's flame. I'll get to the suggestions on my Morgoatt fight, a Foreskin Noble lightning ram vs Maliketh fight and Radahn vs. Malenia cosplay. Maybe also Ranni's Consort vs Miquella's Consort with DMGS or something.
Broke retirement to make this gimmick fight for u/winterflare_ but I thought I might share it here too. I've had a few other ideas for gimmick fights that might be interesting for a while now, as well. I think the outfit is correct for Omenkiller but not 100%.

Checked Steam and I've been playing these games for nearly 10 years now in a couple months, been a onebro almost as long. Have played all the games (technically, only played DeS for 10 minutes at a friend's place) and SL1'd most (couldn't finish BL4 as I didn't have my own PS4 at the time, played on my sister's).
All that to say, it's been a long time and I've enjoyed these games a lot over the years. But all things come to an end and I've lost a lot of love for them. So, one last dance with my favourite FromSoft boss to end it all with.
