Considering giving "The Devils" a go
Just about to finish the full six Red Rising books which completely invigorated me into fiction reeading again. Need my "next thing" and have been kicking the tires on "The Devils" - I'm not expecting the same type of story here, but any thoughts? How did you enjoy it those of you that have read it.
'Lo Reddit
Let me just say this. I am 34 years old, I've read less fiction books in my life than I could count on two hands, I've always been more of a non-fiction guy.
My best friend BEGGED me to read Red Rising and I finally caved, groaning about it, dragging my feet like it was some miserable chore.
Now about three and a half weeks have passed. I've read the entire first trilogy and feel like I'm literally trying to schedule my life around reading this as my first priority in life. I'm leaving work early to read. I'm putting off errands to read. Hell, I'm telling my old lady I have "things to do" while she's at work while I lay on the couch and read until my eyes bleed. It's completely capitvated me and I absolutely cannot get enough of it. I hate it when my best friend's right. But they are bloodydamn masterpieces.
Iron Gold arrives at my door today, alongside my "Helldiver Union" T-Shirt from Pierce's website - do I take a break here? Tear right in?
Cheers my goodmen.
