I’ve always enjoyed sketching, but it was only ever a hobby. Life got busy, and I didn’t draw for years.
Recently I decided to pick up a pencil again and challenged myself to draw a portrait of my parents as a gift for Father’s Day. I only used a regular Nataraj pencil and an A4 sheet because that’s all I had.

When I gifted it to them, my mum was genuinely shocked, and my dad kissed me on the cheek. That reaction meant more to me than making a technically perfect drawing.
It also made me realize how much I missed creating art.

Now I’m thinking of turning this into a small side hustle by taking custom portrait commissions while continuing to improve my skills.
