AITA For explaining the basics of respect to a coworker?

Yesterday, in our work group chat, one of my coworkers comments on us being out of string cheese. I, surprised that we are out of that specifically, say: “wait, seriously?” Another coworker, one I have yet to meet, replies with “No, he’s saying it for fun Yes actually obviously “ I found this a bit rude, but explained I was just surprised by us being out of that item specifically because we don’t use it a lot. She then replied earlier today with “No sure how when you been in the grope and see everything is getting over used by Hellas but ok” Ignoring the typos, I was offended and explained that if she’s not going to show me basic respect that I wont show her any either. I explained I was disappointed because all of our other coworkers are respectful people who can be kind. I also explained that I didn’t do anything wrong. She replied to this by saying “Not disrespected common sense There’s a difference (laugh emoji)I’m sorry your feeling got hurt. Know you ask questions answers some. Sometimes you get answers you don’t expect fill in the blank have a good night (laugh emoji) I am so sorry no one explained that to you! ”, essentially saying I’m stupid and I shouldn’t be offended.
Did I overstep with how I previously reacted?
