It is ridiculous that historical data and results are so expensive, they should realistically be in a free data base. We’re already losing money betting they don’t have to suck even more money from us.
Im working on a horse racing machine learning project for school and have found that it’s extremely hard to get good historical results. I’ve recently found that FanDuel Racing has all results going back to 2005 for many horse race tracks.
Is it possible to set up a scrapper to take all past results? I’ve set up scrapers before just wondering if it’s blocked on the website or if there’s anything to keep in mind/tricks to doing it.

A perfect scenario would be all results from:
Years:
2018–2026
Tracks:
SAR = Saratoga
BEL = Belmont
AQU = Aqueduct
GP = Gulfstream Park
CD = Churchill Downs
KEE = Keeneland
But more years or tracks would be even better.
What would be the best way to get this data? I’ve been talking to BRISnet but they said that would cost $1500 which is way out of my pay range. Does anyone have any recommendations of acquiring this data?
When should I start applying for summer 2027 internships, I see some openings have come out already but I would like time to prepare and hopefully start applying around beginning of august if possible. Is this too late?
