Lost on what to buy
Hello everyone,
I got a core set of Arkham Horror (the older version) less than six months ago. We played our first game a few days ago. Coming here to learn more, I noticed that a new core set has been released and everyone is suggesting not to buy anything for Chapter 1 because everything is sold out. Here in France, I can purchase the complete campaigns for:
- Dunwich > €63 + Investigators €40
- Carcosa > €63 + Investigator €45
- Forgotten Civilization > Out of stock
- The Broken Circle > Out of stock
- Dream Eaters > Out of stock
- Innsmouth > Out of stock
- To the Edge of the Earth > €64 + Investigator €41
- The Scarlet Keys > €64 + Investigator €41
Since I don't know much about this, would it be worthwhile to:
- buy the first two campaigns and maybe the last two, or will I be missing too much in between?
Do the campaigns' stories follow a sequential order?
- Buy just the first two and then move on to chapter 2.
- Buy just one and see if I still enjoy it.
- Buy nothing and go straight to season 2, leaving a core box empty (was this a pointless purchase?).
