Just wanted to share that I have been refreshing the hotel portal just for a few days now and one popped up with availability this morning ($350/night, would've been $700 booked elsewhere). I originally booked a refundable room at the Marriott near O'Hare the other day just for peace of mind, and now I can go ahead and cancel that.

I'm not sure if I got lucky, but if you're struggling with accommodations and costs, I recommend bookmarking the portal and checking each morning. I'm sure many more will become available as we get closer to the date.

Hi everyone! I'm looking to hire a HMU artist to help me, my mom, and my sister get ready for my rehearsal dinner in Peekskill NY, late August 2027.

With this being the night before I am not looking for full glam, but simple and natural hair & makeup so we look and feel our best. Also hoping to keep the cost affordable (ideally $900 max for all 6 services, but less would be great). I am open to going in person to a salon that morning, or having an artist come to our hotel.

Does anyone have any recommendations on salons or artists to inquire with? Thank you in advance!
