I don't particularly like them, so they're just optional additional inv value to me.
My limited trading experience tells me they'll drop significantly since they're extremely easy to get (just 500 bucks), and I've seen people trading megas of the ssbd duck within 15 minutes of the update.
So, purely in terms of value: is it worth stockpiling on?
I only have: autoclickable gold, manual sweet berry, oak wood farms in this world.
I've never had a wandering trader spawn before because everything is bottom slabs, but I've heard it takes forever (5+ IRL hours) to get one and you don't always get lava. Is this the only method?
Alternatively, I made a backup folder right before I made the gold farm. I really don't want to build it again.
But if the only method is getting another wandering trader, I guess I'll just rebuild the farm. Damn.

When I searched, no one else seems to have mentioned this issue, perhaps because it's too new. I feel like this should be talked about.
Apparently, the U.S. Trademark Trial and Appeal Board issued its final decision on May 11, 2026 (mentioned in Noobcrew's post here, the same link shown in the image). I assume the official download links have been taken down since then.
Here's Noobcrew (and presumably his team's) perspective on the whole situation. It says that companies, especially Razzleberries (4.5$M+ income) and Sapphire Studios (1.5M$+ income), have copied and profited from a concept they gave for free. Phrases like "Original Skyblock" and "The real Skyblock game" are used to label or describe such rip-offs.
The argument against the Skyblock trademark is: "'Skyblock' is generic for a floating block in the sky and is used solely to describe a floating island game environment" (You can't trademark descriptive words)
The counter-argument is: "If 'Skyblock' is generic for any floating island, why does a level of copying exist to the point of claiming originality over the specific L-shaped through words and numerous photos?"
I'm sure there's a lot more to this issue, but I don't want to be flamed for spreading misinfo in this post.
I understand Noobcrew and his team's exhaustion and perceived pointlessness in speaking out. Imagine having 9 companies, especially the big Microsoft, steal your idea from you for nearly 7 years. Corporate greed at its finest.

Now I'm hesitant about playing Skyblock, knowing I might have to download a greedy company's recreation😅 Is there any way to play Skyblock without succumbing to their greed?

I wrote this post with the idea that Noobcrew was forced to take the official download links down for legal reasons. It turns out he did this to avoid benefitting those who have defeated him.

I missed prom because:
I burnt out too much from schoolwork (to the point I tense up until now - a whole month after school is finished - at any mention of work)
Would have loved to wear something sleeveless but probably don't have the time or money to do so

Instead, I spent most days with 0-5h sleep for 2 years. At that rate, working out would be more energy-wasting than muscle-building
