How to choose whom to vote during elections?

As the younger and educated generation of India, it’s our responsibility to think carefully about whom we vote for during elections.

Today, voting is often influenced by media, religion, caste, or emotional narratives. But this cannot continue forever if we truly want a better country.

We need to develop a better way of choosing our representatives.

Personally, I feel voting only based on the “face” of the Prime Minister is not the right approach. Even a great Prime Minister alone cannot transform a nation. Real development also depends on strong local representatives who improve our own surroundings, solve local issues, and work honestly for the people. A developed locality eventually contributes to a developed nation.

There are many sources online where we can read about politicians, their education, criminal records, and background. But the bigger question is: how should we evaluate that information?

For example, what if one candidate is highly educated but has many criminal cases, while another candidate is less educated but has a clean image and no serious cases?

Personally, I would prefer someone with a cleaner image and fewer cases over someone highly educated with many serious allegations. My ideal preference would be:

Clean image + educated > slightly less educated with minor civil cases > highly educated person with serious criminal cases.

At the end of the day, honesty, accountability, and intention to serve people matter more than degrees alone.

What do you all think about this?

▲ 3 r/Accor

I am planning 7 days trip to Mauritius in June.

I have alot of Accor points.

There are only 2 Accor properties in Mauritius.

I am planning to split my stays in both the hotels.

1 property sofitel L’Imperial

2nd So sofitel

I have few questions:

  1. Should I make the bookings with points at the time of booking and should I pay with points at checkout,

  2. what are the benefits of paying with points at checkout.

  3. Should I make booking and just inform at checkin that I will pay with points or do I have to confirm before making the booking.

  4. There are many offers going on Accor, if I make the booking with the offer and pay with points do I receive the benefits of the offers.

  5. Do I get points for staying even if I pay wifh points at checkout.

Sorry If my questions sounds stupid, it’s my first time making accor booking and I am not confident how it works.
